It comes from the Rif Mountains and the adjacent regions, including Chefchaouen and Ketama. The commune that inspired the name of the strain. This landrace of pure indica has been cultivated for generations in the northern Rif regions; historical records indicate that it was grown all throughout the country as early as the 1600s!
